Professions
Professions are essentially the jobs and work that your character does apart from adventuring and questing. Each post you do working at your job (which can be done once a day) will earn you gold and experience based on your performance.
There are a starting number of SIX(6) professions, and each has a "caste system". The caste system is how you move up in the world as you gain levels; the higher level you become the closer you get to getting a promotion and more gold opportunity. There are FOUR(4) castes:
1) Novice: Your posts will earn 1-8 gold. (Upon Starting your profession).
2) Apprentice: Your posts will earn 6-12 gold. (Upon hitting level 25).
3) Journeyman: Your posts will earn 8-16 gold, and you will receive a "daily salary" of 4 gold every day you post. (Upon hitting level 35).
4) Master: Your posts will earn 10-20 gold, and you will receive a "daily salary" of 5 gold every day you post (Upon hitting level 50).

Perhaps your character creates the latest fashions, elegant suits and dresses alike? Or perhaps they work on ranger armour, detesting the norm of heavy and cumbersome steel fitted to a persons flesh. They might even simply make various leather pieces, like horse saddles or rucksacks.

Contrary to popular belief, city guards do not only have to fight with dominant based abilities. Any class can help protect the royal city, or any other settlement the person chooses to call home. In addition to the sense of justice and protection that a city guard achieves, they are also privy to various issues due to their constant ear to the street. They also have access to guards training, which can help their abilities.
