The Races of Lucidea
Since the start of it`s creation, Lucidea has been known as sort of a "Cultural melting pot". It houses dozens of races, all with own levels of sentience. A lot of these races have their own sub-communities, outside of the affairs of a select few; the main nine that make up and rule the land. Humanity still stands at the forefront of these races, and is thought (by some) to be the primary race that all sub divisions are based off of.
That being said, "races" in Lucidea are more specifically species. There are different "races" of each species, such as the colour of a humans skin, or the type of animal a Beast Touched or Born Is related to. (NOTE: These Races are able to be pitched in some cases. Consult mods when creating your character.)

The Playable Races of Lucidea
The Strained (Titans)
The Strained are the largest of all the main species that populate the cities of Lucidea. Possessing a humanoid body, their skin sickly white in color, and their lower mouths are coated in a strange pigment which always causes them to appear as if they'd been feasting on a bloody meal. Their Veins move in strange Tribal patterns around their skin and are black in color, with eyes that are generally either a brighter white than their skin or a dark, shadowy black. Their hands (which are twice the size proportionate to regular humans) are equipped with vicious claws that they can use to attack their enemies. Titans are originally from Chillbrace, but many have been "domesticated" and brought into mainstream society. Although racial tensions (as almost all are) with humanity can be an issue; they are actually well known and respected (or at least feared) by most in the community. They do not generally make leader-material for social structures, but guard captains and warrior chieftains are often known to have Titan heritage.

The Beast-Touched (Animiliar)
The Beast Touched, just as the Beast Born,; are a species comprised up of hundreds of different racial types. In essence, Beast touched are very closely humanoid in appearance, but possess small secondary characteristics of (non evolutionary) animals that have or once have resided in Lucidea. They may possess the ears, hands, (small sections of) legs or even arms of a beast; all while maintaining a specifically humanoid base. Like the The Horned and Unblurred, they are the direct product of cross-race creation. When an Anatomaul lays with a Human, an Animilar is the result. They take on both the humanoid aspects of their human parent, and the anamalistic aspects of their Anatomaulian parent. For some reason, although the Horned, Gargoyled and Unblurred are not seen in this way; many of the Beast Touched are noted as bastard children, and are the most common racial type to be sold into servitude for high paying families and households. They are generally known to get more respect from their Anatomaulian brethren than that of their human family.

The Daelit (Demolians)
The Daelit are widely know as one of the first sentient races (alongside Humans and Elves) to walk the world of Lucidea. It is said that when they were created, the Demolians were given the ability to first produce and hold massive torrents of mixed energy in their bodies. They soon would teach this to the Humans, who; although not as experienced in mastering it, began to learn how to split and divide it into a number of different applications. Such, the class and energy types were born. Each race taught the other their secrets, as well as the other races that eventually rose up from the world. Daelit have a very monstrous appearance, scaly (generally shades of black, red, or dark green) skin that ridges and rips throughout their body in almost aggressive patterns, as well as their massive horns and glowing eyes (various colors possible). Despite this, they are possibly some of the more non-violent types of creatures in the world of Lucidea. They focus primarily on their lore and heritage, as well as making sure their souls are as intertwined with their ancestors as possible. They are often respected as Priest's, as well as any other social standing that revolves around inner most guidance.

The Unblurred (Crystalines)
Simply put, the Unblurred are scholars, and although the biological aspect of their creation is well known, an air of mystery still surrounds their conception. They are the product of Human and Elven relation, but they do not possess aspects of either of their parents. Their hair and skin color, as well as their body type and other hereditary traits seem to be completely random, and almost never share anything in common with their parents. As a base, they more closely resemble humans, but their eyes are created out of pure soul energy, as well as the trademark shards that appear directly on their foreheads. They are extremely intelligent beings; some of the smartest of the other races typically still have a hard time following the thought processes of the above average Crystaline. Despite this, their intelligence is typically used in more abstract ways. Philosophy is a common trade for the Unblurred, and although a high majority of the Crystaline choose magic as their form of energy usage, it isn't their only option. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary to see an Unblurred working as a political figures advisor, or working the logistics of a cities economy.

The Beast Born (Anatomaulians)
The Beast Born possess the highest amount of diversity in any of the other races, as their bodies depend on the animal of their "tribe" or family. As far as history can tell (and the major religions that make up Anatomaulian culture), the beast born were the first human and elven druids before they underwent their transformation. They used the class of curator exceptionally well, and due to their adept nature with evolutionary energy, they were able to train and take the form of the animals of Lucidea. It was said that through this process, the humans learned of the animals suffering, and decided to revoke their nature as humans, living with the animals of the land to protect and preserve them from hunters. This allegedly resulted in dozens of clans being created, all based around a single animal that the clan would take the aspect of. In this day and age, there are no "clans", but families of different "species" exist, to which they take their animal traits from. Beast born can breed with members of their species that possess different animal traits, but Anatomaulian genetics are very complicated, and which "breeds" are dominant and which are recessive is still a topic of study in present society. Higher concentrations of beast born are found in rural areas, although they still can be seen in cities. They are typically involved with jobs that revolve around nature, such as gardeners or farmers.

The Horned (Antliers)
As most races, the Horned are the product of Human cross breeding, themselves specifically with the Daelit. They were the first "cross breeds" to be discovered, and in ancient times, were cultivated for a specific purpose. The Daelit would often run most of the religious organizations in many villages and cities (as they still often do), and blessings of children would be given to them as a tribute to the gods. These children were human in nature, but would possess very pale, gray skin, as well as the horns that the Daelit possess. These children would be raised fairly, but were used specifically as hands to keep the religious organizations running (think alter boys, and choir girls). In these modern times, they are not locked such a profession (although most still find themselves doing so), and have recently seemed to recognize their unique aptitude for charismatic endeavours. Many can be seen as merchants, or even in political standings.

The Gargoyled (Masons)
Possibly one of the most peculiar races of all, Masons are the product of a Titan and Human, although they are not born through conventional means. The mother will become pregnant, but only after three months of holding the child, they will produce a stone egg, lifeless in nature, which will stay that way for two full years. After the two year period passes, the egg will "hatch" into a fully formed man or woman, although their skin will be made entirely out of stone. Various tribal designs (which match their titan parents) will be engraved upon their body, and they will always contain the same eye color as their human parent (although it will be much more vibrant). They possess fairly average intelligence, and although they can move as normal as any other race, they are extremely heavy in nature due to their biology. Despite popular belief, the Gargoyled possess a human set of organs, although they appear under the thick layer of stone that seems to cake their body. Nobody is exactly sure why this happens to the product of a human and a strained, but they seem to be quite off putting to most races in society. Because of this, they are few in number, and typically work isolated jobs, such as guards, or hunters.

The Soul Shared (Elves)
Elven people live a constant life of devotion and servitude to their leaders. This is not just to do with their cultural beliefs, but also to protect their very own lives. Nobody knows how the elves were created, but they apparently came not long after Humans and Demolians, and "the original 100" all awoke in a field, fully matured but without any knowledge of who they were or how they were born. They seemed to already possess the natural ability of energy usage, and also possessed above average intelligence. Trying to think back to their pasts would cause great mental stress upon them, and eventually, most of them stopped trying all together. As the years went by, it was found out that these "original 100" we sacred for the continuation of their race. None of the elven have lifespans, and can only be killed, unable to die of old age or disease. However, if one of the original elven was killed, their children, and their children's children would also die, leading to their common nickname as the soul shared. This knowledge was a horrible weakness to the Elven during times of war, and in it's present state, only 42 of the original 100 exist today. Although not hereditary part of the throne, the remaining original elves are in good standing with the royal family, and serve as lords and ladies in many villages and cities. (NOTE: The unblurred will not die if their "original ancestor" is killed, as they are not pure blooded.)

The Pure Slated (Humans)
The Pure slated make up the overwhelming majority of sentient beings in Lucidea, such has it has been since the dawn of time. They are the most adaptable diverse race (aside from the physical features of the anatomauls) of all, and can be seen in almost any field or trade. The royal family is human, and as such, humans control most of the power and wealth in the world, even after the period of green death. Unfortunately, humans can be quite bigoted and ignorant about the other races; it's almost a rare sight to see a human who views all races as equals, at least in the royal lines. It's commonly known that the king, Joseph Clintlock is an active believer of species equality, however most of his family do not follow his way of thinking.
